Day29 – Waves of Gratitude
This morning, I woke with a soft awareness in my chest —
not quite an emotion, not quite a thought…
just a quiet reminder that something inside me wanted to be felt.
When I opened my 365 Days Healing with Water journal and saw the theme — “Waves of Gratitude” —
I smiled, a little knowingly.
Because gratitude has been the whisper behind so many of my days.
And water… is the one who listens.
I held a glass of water in my hands, the way the practice suggested.
But instead of listing my gratitudes immediately,
I let myself feel the moment.
The coolness of the glass.
The weight.
The presence.
I held a glass of water in my hands, the way the practice suggested.
But instead of listing my gratitudes immediately,
I let myself feel the moment.
The coolness of the glass.
The weight.
The presence.
Only then did the words begin to rise:
“Thank you for my body.”
“Thank you for my breath.”
“Thank you for another morning.”
Simple.
Ordinary.
But as I spoke them, something extraordinary happened.
It was as if each word softened its texture —
as if the gratitude created tiny waves inside the glass,
changing its vibration, its taste, its energy.
A warmth spreading through my chest.
A slow unclenching.
A return to myself.
It reminded me that gratitude is not something we think —
it is something we feel, something we offer,
and something that always returns to us.
You give it your gratitude,
and it gives you clarity.
You give it presence,
and it brings you back to the moment.
You give it love,
and somehow… you feel loved in return.
Today, gratitude didn’t arrive as fireworks.
It came as a wave — gentle, steady, quiet —
and it washed through me with its own soft intelligence.
This was my reflection on Day 29 of 365 Days Healing with Water.
A reminder that even the smallest gesture of gratitude
can ripple into something healing.
Every drop, a blessing.
Every sip, a prayer.
Every wave, a return to the heart.
