Day 22 – 365 Days With Water

Day 22 Deforestation

Today’s energy felt different.
Not personal… planetary.

It wasn’t the kind of heaviness that comes from my own worries or emotions.
It was quieter, deeper — like the Earth was breathing a little harder, and I could feel it inside my chest.

As I sat with my glass of water, I closed my eyes and imagined a forest.
Not just trees — but life.
Movement.
Breath.

I saw tall trunks reaching toward the sky, roots woven into the soil like ancient veins carrying memory and wisdom.

But then, in the distance, I felt an absence — a space where trees once stood, where silence felt too sharp, like something sacred had been removed.

But then, in the distance, I felt an absence — a space where trees once stood, where silence felt too sharp, like something sacred had been removed.

So I whispered into the water:

“Help me stay connected.
Help me protect what protects us.”

As I held the glass, something shifted.
The water felt heavier, almost alive — as if it was holding the memory of rainforests, rivers, soil, and the breath of millions of trees.
I could feel the Earth inside the water.

And when I drank it, it felt like an exchange:
I give care.
The planet gives breath.
We meet in the middle.

Today, I felt hopeful.
Not because everything is okay, but because connection is the beginning of healing.
Awareness is the beginning of change.

Forests and water are not separate.
Neither are we.

Today reminded me that every conscious sip, every intention, every small act of care
is a way of saying:

I am here.
I am part of this Earth.
And I choose to protect what protects life.

This is my Day 22.
A day of listening, of remembering, of choosing connection with the natural world that holds us all.

With gratitude for the forests and the silence 💚
Mona
