Day 14 – Reflections in Water
Today felt slower… softer.
Like the world was speaking in whispers instead of words.
I didn’t go to the sea or a river.
Instead, I filled a small bowl of water at home, placed it by the window, and simply watched the way the light moved across its surface.
It’s strange how quickly water becomes a mirror —
not only of the sky or the room,
but of your own inner world.
As I leaned closer, I noticed how the slightest shift in my breath changed the reflection.
A ripple.
A tremble.
A soft wave moving outward.
And something inside me responded:
This is you.
This is how your inner world moves —
with every thought, every breath, every emotion.
For a moment, I imagined what my reflection would have looked like if the water could show not just my face, but my feelings.
Would it show the things I hide?
Would it reveal the quiet corners inside me that I don’t always want to see?
Maybe that is why water has been used in ritual and prayer for centuries.
It doesn’t judge.
It simply reflects.
Today, the water reflected honesty.
Not perfection.
Not clarity.
Just… me.
Exactly as I was.
And somehow, that was enough.
Today I learned that Water has a way of revealing the truth without ever speaking it aloud.
When we reflect upon it,
it reflects us back —
softly, honestly, patiently.
…🌊
Sit with water today — a lake, a fountain, or even a small bowl.
Gaze into it gently and observe what you see.
Let your thoughts settle like still water,
and notice what reflections rise from within.
Look into water,
and it will show you the truths your soul is ready to see.
